Business Development Manager

Position Profile 

The ability to take initiative and work independently to meet Autopro’s sales and growth objectives for the Western Canadian market sector is a prerequisite for this high profile, highly visible and dynamic role. Experience in the delivery of industrial engineering services is a significant asset.

Autopro maintains a customer base that is geographically distributed across Western Canada, some travel will be a requirement of this position.

Position Accountabilities

Specific responsibilities will be determined by the Chief Executive Officer and will include, but are not limited to; the following:

  • Accountable directly to the CEO to achieve corporate sales and growth objectives.
  • Responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities for Autopro’s engineering and automation services primarily in Western Canada, with future geographic expansion opportunities.
  • Work with and support the Autopro Business Development Team to develop and execute business plans, identify target markets, customers and competitive offerings.
  • Contribute to the development and presentation of proposals for new and existing clients.
  • Interface with key accounts and development of client relationships.
  • Assist in the execution of marketing promotions and materials.
  • Assist in the execution of trade show and other customer focused marketing events.
  • Development and delivery of sales material in pursuit of sales opportunities, such as presentations, qualifications and experience material, and proposals.
  • Sales results analysis in support of cost/benefit budgeting.
  • Promoting and enhancing corporate image.

Candidate Profile 

  • A degree or diploma in a field related to technology or business is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years sales and/or marketing experience with a solid understanding of engineering and industrial automation services.
