Business Development Coordinator

Position Profile

Reporting to the President, Smart Process, the Business Development Coordinator will support the Business Development Team in the development and management of specific client accounts and will support the execution of tactical sales strategies to grow the business. 

Position Accountabilities

  • Participate in BD Team activities including development of account strategies, defining order targets, forecasts and regular review and analysis of BD metrics.
  • Support BDMs on day-to-day tasks such proposal openings, proposal support, target setting and tracking.
  • Define CRM processes and lead the administration of the system to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain CRM user documentation.
  • Interface with client account contacts to develop strong client relationships.
  • Lead the gathering and analysis of relevant industry data, including competitor and customer intelligence.
  • Identify, research and evaluate new long-term growth opportunities (market segments, geographical areas, services).
  • Develop and deliver sales material in pursuit of sales opportunities, including presentations, qualifications and experience material, and proposals.
  • Manage inbound lead generation qualification and administer staff lead incentive program.
  • Support customer engagement sessions and client presentations.
  • Onboard new BD team members.
  • Support Proposal Team on proposal debriefs, RFIs, EOIs and pre-qualifications.
  • Provide assistance to sales management for the preparation of weekly/monthly sales reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in relevant field or similar working level obtained through relevant job experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience within a professional services environment is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting.
  • Strong capability in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with CRM use (administration and best practice implementation) is an asset.
  • Must be organized, able to multi-task and work effectively under tight deadlines.
