Payroll / Accounts Payable Administrator

The Payroll / Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for completing bi-weekly payroll and weekly cheque runs.

Position Accountabilities

  • Weekly review of staff time entries for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and government policies
  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Audit staff expenses for accuracy and completeness
  • Manage daily Accounts Payable entries and perform weekly cheque runs
  • Perform month end Accounts Payable close and Payroll Reconciliation
  • Assist with yearly audits
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

Candidate Profile

  • 3 – 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate is an asset
  • Experience with Payroll, payroll remittances, ROEs, T4s, and group benefits
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems is an asset
  • Ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent time management skills
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to meet deadlines under a high stressed environment, prioritize tasks and focus on quality of work
