A Job Well Done by the Autopro Bleeders Club

Autopro’s Bleeders Club was initiated by a staff member in 2013, and since then we have donated over 250 units of blood. Every two months the Canadian Blood Services Life Bus picks up staff members who are donating that month and brings them down to the clinic where they happily bleed for this very worthy cause.

There no greater gift than the gift of life. Every blood donation takes about an hour to make, from the moment you walk through the clinic door, to the moment one of their volunteers shows you the way out. The blood you give will be used within days to help give someone life.

Chris Branton, a senior Engineer at Autopro and one of our regular blood donors, recently shared why he donates. “I donate because it is an easy way to make a difference in someone’s life.  I have known people who have benefited from another person’s donation, so I am happy to help.

Between January 1st and December 31st, 2017 the Autopro team donated a total of 54 units! We surpassed our target of 45 units of blood and look forward to doing that again in 2018.

Every donation counts!
