Autopro Welcomes New Staff Members to the Team

Autopro is very pleased to welcome several more new faces to our Calgary and Vancouver offices. We look forward to their contributions to the Autopro team.

 Kevin Thingvold_Autopro Automation  

Kevin Thingvold (Vancouver) joins us as a Senior Technologist and Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) with experience testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining protection and control (P&C), telecommunication, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and automation systems. His experience includes project work in several industries including power utility, mining, oil & gas, and heavy oil, in both Canada and the United States. Kevin holds a Diploma of Technology in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

 Benson Ly_Autopro Automation  

Benson Ly (Vancouver) joins our Finance Department as an  Intermediate Accountant. He graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) with his Bachelor of Technology in Accounting in 2015. Prior to joining Autopro, Benson held accounting positions in the oil and gas and commercial real estate industries.

 Ryan Bigharaz_Autopro Automation  

Ryan Bigharaz (Calgary) joins us as an Engineer in Training with more than nine years of experience in the oil and gas industry, working on a variety of refining and upgrading projects. His expertise includes DCS, PLC and SCADA systems, as well as alarm management, commissioning and industrial communications. Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran.

 Asad Zaidi_Autopro Automation  

Asad Zaidi (Calgary) joins us as an Intermediate Control Systems Engineer. He graduated with his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 2011, and complemented that with a PLC-HMI Programming Certificate from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, also in 2011.  Asad brings six years of experience in control system engineering within the oil and gas industry, including DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA, metering & measurement, and control system hardware design.

 Tohid Ghorbanpour_Autopro Automation  

Tohid Ghorbanpour (Calgary) is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. He is also an Alberta Master Electrician and an Alberta Safety Codes Council Certified Electrical Safety Codes Officer (SCO Electrical Inspector). Tohid’s vast experience includes conceptual and detailed electrical design of low and medium voltage motor control centers (MCC), switchgear, instrumentation including motor operated valve (MOV) pressure, temperature and flow transmitters, and electrical design. Tohid also possesses comprehensive knowledge of motor controls and electrical and instrumentation products, and their application as engineering solutions.

 Pradip Bhor_Autopro Automation  

Pradip Bhor (Calgary) has rejoined Autopro as a Senior Control System Specialist with expertise in process solutions, lifecycle services, and DCS. Pradip brings with him over 13 years of industry experience, including several years with major control system hardware vendors as Control Systems Specialist and in various senior level field service project engineering roles. Pradip holds a Bachelor’s Degree, First Class in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering from the Government College of Engineering in Pune, India.
