Recipient selected for the 2019 Autopro Automation Scholarship in association with Fort McMurray Public School Division

Earlier this week, Autopro staff from the Calgary and Fort McMurray offices had the difficult task of evaluating this years' applicants for the 2019 FMPSD Autopro Automation Scholarship.

Students were graded on various criteria that included demonstration of community involvement, previous experience with the Fort McMurray Public School Division Robotics Program and a written essay focused on automation its' role in the future.  

“Autopro has a long history of supporting post-secondary institutes in Western Canada through scholarships, co-op and summer terms for students, and mentorship provided by our staff,” said Laurie Watters, Vice President Corporate Services. She added, “Over the last six years, we have also partnered with the Fort McMurray Public School Division to sponsor robotics programs in their schools and have seen firsthand the dedication and skill of the students in those programs. We are proud to offer continued support to high school students in the Fort McMurray area who have chosen to pursue a career in an Engineering related field.”
